1 〔競技･戦いなどで勝つ〕 win 《a battle》; be the winner; come out on top; carry the day; be victorious; win [gain, obtain] a [the] victory; 〔負かす〕 beat [defeat] 《a team》; get the better of 《the opposition》; get the upper hand 《over [of]…》.
